These valves are sold in both the version without the coil (S suffix) and the version with the coil (A6 suffix for coils at 220 VAC).

Solenoid valves with the EX suffix are compliant with the ESR of Directive 2014/34/EU ATEX. This equipment is suitable for use on refrigeration systems located in areas classified as Zone 2 risk of explosion, according to the definition in Annex I of Directive 1999/92/EC.

These valves are exclusively sold in the model without coil (S suffix).

Coils with the new FAST LOCK fixing system, series 9300 and 9320, and coils with gear fixing systems, series 9110, 9120 and 9160.
Fast-on connections type DIN 43650/A for coils in series: 9120, 9160, 9300 and 9320; co-moulded cables for series 9110 coils. Protection rating IP65; IP68 for series 9160 coils coupled with series 9155 connectors.
Available voltages; 24 VAC - 50/60 Hz, 110 VAC - 50/60 Hz, 220/230 VAC - 50/60 Hz, 240 VAC - 50/60 Hz, 380 VAC - 50/60 Hz, 12 VDC, 24 VDC, 27 VDC, 48 VDC.
Connectors in series 9150, normalized DIN 43650, to wire, with IP65 protection rating. Connectors in series 9900, again normalized DIN 43650, pre-wired with various cable lengths, with IP65 protection rating. Connectors in series 9155, to wire, with IP65/68 protection rating.

The "SMART CONNECTOR" systems series 9910 are formed by coupling a connector in series 9152, equipped with an integrated electronic circuit in the connector, with a specific series 9300 coil designed for the connector. These systems have been designed by Castel to be installed on solenoid expansion valves and they allow for:
- a reduction in energy consumption when fully operational with consequent reduction in operating temperature
- an extension of the coil life
- an increase in the MOPD value of the valve
IP65 protection rating. Available voltages; 24 VAC - 50/60 Hz, 220/230 VAC - 50/60 Hz, 240 VAC - 50/60 Hz, 12 VDC, 24 VDC.

Magnetic tool part number 9900/X91 can be used on all Castel normally closed solenoid valves. Used during brazing of copper connections of the solenoid valve to the line piping allows the valve to be opened and for passage of the protective gas inside the valve. This avoids damage due to overheating of both the nucleus gasket and the membrane/piston gasket.
